Creating a Nessus Policy

We will choose Advanced Scan to create a fully customized scan with no pre-configured recommendations built-in

1. After choosing the Scan Type, enter a name for the new policy

• Configure settings, add credentials, and specify compliance standards for the scan.

• Option to enable or disable entire plugins

• After customizing the scan, click Save.

• The new policy appears in the policies list.

• New scans wil be in theUser Defined tab under Scan Templates for custom policies.
