ITIL 4 Foundations

chevron-rightGuide to Passhashtag

Some background, I've worked in the IT industry as a deployment manager and with that, it did help me with better understanding the section related to the ITIL practices and role.

My study sources

  • ITIL4 foundations material (PDF) - read through once and made my own notes

  • Value Insights - ITIL 4 foundation exam preparation Training - INTRODUCTION (elearning)

  • Free ITIL4 Foundation Exam - Question Flash Cards (all of them)

  • ITIL4 Foundation exam 2024 (App from Google Play)

  • Udemy - Practice Questions for ITIL4 Foundation Exam (6 exams) by Samir Faraj

  • Udemy - ITIL4 Foundation Practice Certification Exams (6 exams) by Jason Dion

**If you could get 80% and above on all the mock exams, I would say you're ready to go to book your seating.

The Exam

  • Exam was taken at midnight, checked in 30mins early. Straightforward validation process - have your ID ready.

  • Ensure you really understand the glossary (e.g what is a Utility vs Warranty, Practices vs Governance). I will say there are about 40% of the questions tested the glossary/definitions.

  • 2-3 questions tested your knowledge on applying the all concepts (e.g the ITIL practices - Focus on value, start where you are...)

  • Understand the Service Value system and all the Practices (focus more on Problem, Incident, Service level and Service Request Managements)

*I found the exam fairly straight forward. Pay attention to the questions where they ask "e.g which one is NOT a correct statement of service level management"

Feel free to message if you have any questions.

Good Luck all!
